荀慧生（1900年1月5日－1968年12月26日），字慧声，号留香，艺名白牡丹，中国著名京剧表演家，“四大名旦”之一。荀慧生祖籍河北东光，初名秉超，后改名秉彝，与余叔岩合演《打渔杀家》起，改用荀慧生为名。荀慧生功底深厚，戏剧宽广，融京剧青衣、花旦、闺门旦、刀马旦的表演于一炉，兼收京剧小生、武生等行当的技艺，到30年代逐渐形成风格新颖、独树一帜的“荀派”艺术。荀慧生一生演出了三百多出戏，其中代表作为《元宵谜》、《棋盘山》等，与杨小楼、尚小云、谭小培一起称为“三小一白”，有“无旦不荀”的美誉。
