A mid-twentieth century silver three piece tea service, comprising teapot, twin-handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each of rounded oblong form with oblique gadrooned border above wide reeded bands, teapot with fruitwood handle and finial to the domed and hinged lid. Hallmarked G Bryan & Co., Birmingham 1947. Length of teapot 11 1/4 inches (28.5 cm), gross weight 33.96 ozt (1056 grams). All pieces appear in good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.Hinged lid to teapot in good working order and closes flush. Possible repairs to rounded edges of teapot spout, changes in the colour or tone. Hallmarks with some rubbing, particularly to maker's marks. Clear part hallmarks to teapot lid.
