An Edwardian silver christening mug, of tapering cylindrical form with curved handle, the body with engraved foliate decoration and vacant cartouche, hallmarked Thomas Hayes, Birmingham 1904, height 3 inches (8cm). Together with two later examples, each of plain tapering cylindrical form, with personal engraving, the first hallmarked E S Barnsley & Co, Birmingham 1918, the second hallmarked J & R Griffin, Chester 1925. Total weight 12.39 ozt (385.6 grams). (3). Edwardian example with surface scratches, marks, indentations and heavy tarnishing, plus a number of nocks to body which is uneven as a result, and knock to area of rim.
