A mid-twentieth century silver part canteen, in Hanoverian style with long rat-tail to heel, for six place settings and comprising table forks, dessert forks and spoons, soup spoons and teaspoons. Hallmarked Roberts & Belk, Sheffield 1944 (one table fork dated 1943). Weight 42.71 ozt (1328.5 grams). Appears in good overall condition, displaying some tarnishing and general light surface wear, marks and scratches. Spoon bowls & fork tines have generally faired well. Tines appear even and have retained much of sharpness to tips. Some rubbing and slight loss of definition to rat-tails. Forks without rat-tails. Hallmarks all clear and legible.
