释迦牟尼作为佛教的创始人，其一生为弘扬佛法作出了巨大功绩，其中有八项功绩最被世人称颂，此幅唐卡就主要表现了释迦牟尼佛成道时的形象。唐卡中央，释迦牟尼佛具高肉髻，饰有螺发，面庞方正，五官俊秀，面含微笑。上身着袒右肩式袈裟，左手捧佛钵，右手结触地印。双腿结跏趺坐，下承莲花座。座前有妙欲五供，身后有圆形背光和头光。画面上方绘有莲花生大师和一位宁玛派高僧，主尊左右两侧文殊菩萨和观音菩萨侍立，画面最下方绘有两尊白色身金刚萨埵。整幅唐卡布局旷达，设色鲜艳亮丽，人物勾描细腻生动，与清代藏东地区唐卡绘画的艺术特点极为相似，是一幅藏东地区唐卡绘画的精彩之作
