从所装饰的纹样可知，此对龙片原先乃是吉服袍的下摆。龙片以明黄缎为地，以局部挖梭工艺织出海水江牙，翻滚的海水之上涌出海螺、书卷等杂宝。海水江牙之上，织出金龙两条，龙作行龙，均以金线织就，龙嘴大开，五爪外张，一爪欲握火珠。金龙周身，织以五彩流云。此袍做工华丽，纹路紧密，充分表现出康熙时期的胜世之作。
