剔红，为漆雕工艺的一种，即在器物胎体上多次髹叠朱色大漆，至一定厚度后，再雕刻纹样，此工艺在元明之际达到最高峰，清代继之。拍品大骨两侧以锦纹为地，其上深雕商山四皓图，堆漆坚厚，色泽温润，手感沉实，较为少见。
