The massive flattened circular body, rising from a short oval spreading foot to a cylindrical neck and gilt-bronze-mounted everted rim, applied with two bold gilt-bronze reticulated phoenix-scroll handles at the neck and shoulders, each side decorated in rich enamels with a dense stylized design of peony blossoms among leaves and rockwork on a turquoise ground, the base with a Qianlong reign mark. {Height: 22 inches (56 cm)}.
