砚作长方样，起边线，墨堂平整开阔。落潮深峻，镂空高浮雕双龙纹，老龙祥云中须发张扬，神态凶猛凝重，为明末清初常见之纹饰。端溪水岩，色润质佳，留赤黄高眼于其上，其眼规格硕大，色泽绚丽夺目，风格极为富丽堂皇。此砚造型大气磅礴，纹饰雕琢精美，质地用料精良，为清初官制大砚之出楚翘。
