此件上衣由清代便服改良而来，保留了传统的镶滚边，圆领，对襟，以明黄色缎为面，蓝色为里，领襟及下摆嵌三蓝牡丹寿字花边；襟口镶有鎏金铜扣五枚。用真丝面料为底料，图案由牡丹花和团寿字组成，牡丹花傲骨华荣、富丽堂皇，被称为“富贵花”，作品中高贵艳丽的牡丹傲然绽放、娇艳欲滴，花香弥漫。寓意富贵吉祥、长寿无疆。
