CONDITION: When examined under black light there is no evidence of in painting or areas of restoration, the signature does not glow in the slightest and there are no areas of missing paint nor any abrasions to the board. After World War II, Amorsolo went back to painting the bright sun drenched countryside scenes for which is was most well-known. It was during the 1940's and 1950's that he reached the height of his popularity. During this time his genre paintings were in such demand that he cataloged his works, and clients would select the work they wanted and he would paint different versions of the chosen scenes.
