［题识］张之洞。|［钤印］张之洞印（白）、孝达（朱） |张之洞|（1837-1909），字孝达，号香涛，又是总督，称“帅”，故时人皆呼之为“张香帅”。晚清名臣、清代洋务派代表人物。张之洞工书，书法苏轼，深负盛名。其也擅“米体”，笔力遒劲，俊迈豪放，跌宕有致。张之洞曾向张佩纶私授“书诀”，称“即于两字求之，结体求丰，用笔求润”，自然丰润，笔意开展，便是他书体常见风格。
