钤印：复初之印、子远、仁者寿、世守玉篇家承金粟、北度居庸南登岭峤东浮沧海西上峨嵋、乐余静廉之室|题识：光绪丙戌六月，梅雨湿蒸，砚池生润。写古诗十九道遣兴，未审□祝京北如何。老潜。 |顾复初，字幼耕，一作幼庚，又字子远，号道穆，晚号潜叟。长洲（今苏州）人。学士顾元熙之子。拔贡生，以州判仕蜀，入完颜祟实幕。咸丰末，何绍基督蜀学，邀襄校试卷，同治年间纳资改官光禄寺署正。历为吴棠、丁宝桢、刘秉璋幕僚。工诗、古文词，通辞章、擅楹对、工书画，光绪中被推为蜀中第一书家。
