|说明：瑞兽取材南红玛瑙，色泽红润。瑞兽伏卧状，四肢弯曲，收于躯干两侧。扭头目视右方，其双目圆瞪，炯炯有神，钩形眉，眉尖向上卷起。如意形鼻，方嘴，嘴部张开，獠牙整齐外露。其眉毛、四肢等处，以及尾部，均已细密的阴刻线条以表示鬃毛。造型古朴浑厚，红白相间，相映成趣，陈于书斋案头，别有一番拙趣。南红玛瑙的应用历史悠久，据考古资料显示，战国时期的贵族墓葬中，已发现有南红玛瑙的串饰。发展至清代，更成为制作宫廷珍玩文房的材料之一，北京故宫博物院既藏有南红玛瑙花插、文房等器具。|
