款识：小玉先生赐念，卅年十月，兆和。||钤印：兆龢 |说明：|1.附作者家属与作品合影照片。|2.作品系画家为上款人小玉先生所作画像，小玉先生是日本当时著名的实业家。画面采取典型西方人物构图，四分之三侧面，|头发及领带的明暗直接以水墨染出，眼镜及脸部轮廓勾线描绘，脸部结构阴影以细线排出，完全是西方素描之笔触。他的这种创造性的绘画方式使中国的现代水墨人物划一举立于世界现实主义绘画的行列。
