|红釉从唐代长沙窑开始烧制，到明初永宣时期的已经演变到美轮美奂的程度。可是此后每况愈下，红釉几乎达到失传的境地，直到康熙时才得到恢复和非凡的发展。这时红釉品种增多，在单色釉中非常突出，有豇豆红、郎窑红、祭红等。此康熙红釉笔洗器型扁圆，腹部外鼓，圈足。器物内壁施白釉，外壁施红釉，红釉釉面均匀，发色鲜艳，色泽深浅恰当。此笔洗品相完好，整体不加修饰，尽显简约沉稳之美。
