|端石以船为形，形制奇特。所取端石石质细腻，琢磨圆润，构思精巧绝妙。盒盖上铭“书画舟子，山林外臣，高翔”。|高翔（公元1688-1753年），字凤岗，号西唐，钱塘人、寓扬州。与金农、汪士慎为友。工篆刻，善画花卉、山水。“扬州八怪”之一。画梅笔意松秀，技干苍润，以疏枝瘦干取胜。山水师渐江、石涛，笔法简淡而秀雅，喜作园林小景。传世作品有《弹指阁图》、《梅花图》等。|原配大漆天地砚匣。
