After Clodion; "Piece Unique" Terra Cotta Bacchant with a baby Satyr between her legs and holding a basket of grapes; hand carved with fine details and incised "Piece Unique" in the clay before firing inside the base. The Sculpture 18th or 19th century, on a partially gilt neoclassical stand of the late 19th century. Restorations to fingers, left arm and grapes. Height of sculpture without stand 13 inches (33 cm.).
