盒为圆口蔗段式，盒盖盖沿抹圆起阳线开光，内锦地阳刻“达摩渡江图”，达摩身着宽袍僧衣，面容枯瘦肃穆，长身而立于芦苇之上，衣带飞扬。是器画面布局疏朗，物象明晰，刀法爽利洗练，圆滑内收，精到上乘。
