|王炳荣清朝同治、光绪年间景德镇瓷雕名家。清人许之衡所著《饮流斋说瓷》之中将王炳荣与陈国治并提，说雕瓷笔筒，所雕花以竹林七贤、垂杨条马之类为多。此件笔筒通体施以白釉，器型端庄，浮雕以其所擅之马，细腻写实，连肋骨都根根突出，底落王炳荣款识。
