An open face pocket watch by J.W Benson. 9ct yellow gold case, hallmarked London 1933. Signed keyless wind three quarter plate movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. White dial with Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. 50mm. 77gms. Box and papers.ConditionMovement is not currently functioning. It is not possible to wind the movement. There is a fault with the winding mechanism.Movement is worn with some surface rust and noticeable scratches and marks visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. There are very heavy scratches to the hands.Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe. Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Hinges appear intact.Crown has scratches and marks with wear to the plating.
