An Edwardian 18ct gold opal and diamond ring. The oval opal cabochon line, with circular-cut diamond double spacers, and scrolling sides. AF. Estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct. Hallmarks for Chester, 1902. Ring size O. Weight 3.9gms. Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Two opals with noticeable chip to the surface.Opals appear loose in mount may require attention.Would recommend attention to all settings as some claws deficient/worn. Some areas of the setting show repair, may require further attention.Diamonds well matched.Diamonds fairly bright.Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.Opals with good play of colour, flashes in a range of hues, in fair condition with some surface abrasions and nibbles.Stamped 18CT.Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
