说明：自古以来，文人雅士便以受沁的古玉为美，以受沁多、色美者为贵，故而人工仿沁早已有之。《玉纪》中曾云：“虹光草出甘肃大山中，其汁能染玉，用草汁入硇砂少许，抹于玉质纹理间，用新鲜竹板燃火逼之，则深入玉之肤里，红光自面透背，时人谓之得古法，赏鉴家偶失于辨……”这种将玉染色的工法，俗称老提油，据传此法甚古，产生于北宋时期，乃是古人追求玉器古朴沁色的重要传统工艺。
