德化窑因位于福建德化县而得此名，创烧于宋，流行于明清之际，其佛造像在中国雕塑艺术中享有极高的成就，尤以明代何朝宗为代表的瓷塑大师开创了德化雕塑的新风气。此尊达摩坐像釉色白里泛青，背后落“博及渔人”印章款，虽为清代大家所作，仍可见明代瓷雕对其的影响，体现出德化白瓷雕塑的传承性。拍品达摩跣足而坐，开脸方正，双目圆睁，粗眉络腮胡子，大耳垂肩，肩挎佛珠，双手交叉于膝盖之上，身披法衣，衣褶随风飘动，刀法深刻锐利，潇洒自如，面部神情刻画微妙，于肃穆沉思之中略显悲悯，雕刻技法不拘一格。整体气韵生动，富有强烈的艺术魅力，尽显大师风范。
