题识：己卯（1879）录旧作，王韬。|钤印：王韬印、紫诠、吴下老饕 |释文：狂飙偏撼粤西东，极目烽烟感慨中。北控雄关当虎豹，南征甲士惨沙虫。谁先薪突陈奇计，空向疆场策战功。今日燎原嗟己及，会看胜算出元戎。疏桐阴底小庭幽，帘外溟蒙雨未收。凉煞夜深花影瘦，海棠先带一分秋。|作者简介：王韬（1828-1897），苏州人，初名王利宾，字兰瀛。后改名为王瀚，字懒今，字紫诠、兰卿，号仲弢、天南遁叟、甫里逸民，外号“长毛状元”。晚晴思想家、政论家。于1874年在香港创办了中国报刊史上第一份以政论为主的报纸——《循环日报》，著有《扶桑游记》。
